The most stupid person that I could find this time is our H.R. Head. I don’t have any problem in her work but with the way she delivers all her shit, man, she’s just the complete asshole.

Yeah!!! She babbled too much and I just can’t wait to shut her mouth, BIG TIME!!!

Just Great News!!!

Yay! I just got an email from Auntie Paquit and Uncle Roger. Hmmmm…Just GREAT News!!! As what Uncle Roger had said, “Don’t say anything yet, but you can start getting yourself organized.” *sigh.

Anyway, I woke up early for the day and I just popped Megadeth to my iPod. I don’t know but I felt like listening to them. Youthanasia, Countdown to Extinction and Cryptic Writings were on my list. Yeah…I just love Shredders!!!

I was supposed to meet Tagi at lunch time but have to move it tomorrow. Maybe I also have to check my thing on him as things are getting too crowded on my schedule. I hope everything would be fine.

Tonight, we’ll be playing Ultimate with some twist. We’ll be betting on 1.5 liters of Coke. I’m just excited.

Back to work.

...bored again

Saturday’s boring and having a meeting with almost all of the oldies just makes me sleep.

Discussing the year’s budget was “So-So” and listening to some “Satisfy-My-Ego” lines just helped me in my struggle not to sleep. Sometimes, it’s a treat listening to an asshole trying to stroke everybody’s ego. I just find it very funny.

Well, I’m just glad we’re done earlier than expected so I spent the rest of the afternoon listening to Mastodon, Arch Enemy and White Zombie.

I guess, its still fun.

...frisbee, Brgy T5 and hangover

Thursday’s night game was great. With Gerson, Anne, Jenny, Juan and Badz, our team was on fire. We have laid everything to the fields. We had great catches, great passes and great chemistry. I just can’t wait to play with them on Sunday.

And after the game, Barangay T5 has regrouped. Juan, Rica, Joan, JP and I just spent the rest of the night singing and drinking. The boys took turns in playing the guitar and the percussion. Singing with the barangay has never been so fun. I hope the rest of the tanods would be there to share the fun.

Anyway, I went home at about 3 in the morning and reported in the office at 7:30. The server required fixing and so far, I was done in a few commands.

*sigh. I just have to have more sleep.

a party to remember

Last night, it was a privilege to be invited to a gathering by one of Davao’s greatest, Mrs. Aida Ford.

Actually, we never knew that it was her birthday party but you just can see how humble this person is. She just told us like “it’s just a gathering”.

I’ve been to her institution many times in my life. Either I was practicing some songs with my friend Franco or just play around with our teacher friends. I was never that aware of the things inside the campus until I was brought to the museum by Rica and Juan.

The museum was packed with so many things she collected. You can find paintings and texts of Edades, artifacts from the tribes of Mindanao (The Pubic Shield of the Bagobo was the best) and some artwork which would just inspire you to get into arts.

Not only that she’s into arts but a person who is very kind and nationalistic. She had lived her life in preserving our Nation’s culture and still doing things to pass on to the next generation.

Hearing stories and sharing her dreams to the people was like an experience to be brought to life. Juan, Rica and I were like the torch bearers of this lady’s dreams.

*sigh…We don’t know how to get things started but we know what to do.

...more Metal

I’m just bored with so much work and hopefully, I’ll be done as soon as I get the design for the web templates I promised to Bart last night.

Anyway, I’ll be with Rica and Juan tonight for a party. And I also have to fix the computer and the network at the HQ.

And before I leave for tonight, I have to upload “At The Gates” and “Norma Jean”.

Rock All The Time!!!

Metallica Vs. Megadeth

2007 is the year to be watched for Metallica and Megadeth. I’ve heard Metallica’s new song for their new album and comparing it to Megadeth’s Gears of War demo, I think Megadeth has remained true to its roots. With their soon to be released 2007 album, United Abominations, their new song Gears of War never failed to bring back what Metal is supposed to be.

I wonder how their albums sound as Dave and James have become sober. I’m also excited to hear what Rick Rubin would do to Metallica after Bob Rock.

Juan and Rica in my office? Yeah!!! They were here for a visit. I haven’t been at the Hype HQ for weeks and it’s nice to have them. They’re such a sweetheart.

I just have to finish all of my tasks as I have to be there on Saturday just to fix Rica’s PC.

Anyway, back to work and I’m having lamb of god and Mastodon on the background. \m/

busy as hell

It has been a busy week. I’ve been to branches just to install and fix some units. Made some enemies along the way and missed a lot of extra curricular activities.

I’m also excited as my new office is on the works. I’ve suggested some inputs to how it would be and I just can’t wait to transfer at the 5th Floor. This time, I could blast my music without hesitation.

I also have this thing on Mediagate MG-35. Ate Melanie was giving me a generous discount and I hope I could save some for that. You can just experience your media (DivX, mp3s, mpegs) and switch in between 3.5” hard disks. Hmmmm.

Sunday, January 14, 2007

It’s Sunday and I’m in my room. I’m tired of surfing the channels on my remote with a non cable t.v. hehehe.

I don’t know much of what to do this time but I just want to talk to someone.

I guess I just have to go to downtown as I would be paying some bills.

My life’s so boring this time *sigh

...into the void

I just find it hard to avoid people and situations just to get focus. I know it’ll be difficult but things have to get into something I’m into.

I’ve met some people for the past months and it’s a struggle to consider time and feelings. I’m running out of time and it’s just stupid of me to get into a relationship.

...corrosion of conformity

I’m not the person who is used to persuade someone for my convenience. I believe that a person who is into their preferences, ideals and principles are tied to it. That drastic methods have to be rolled through them just to get into something they’re not.

I know I’m not a born salesman or someone who could be influential. How I wish I could be that person but some things are too hard for me. Like getting into relationships and dealing with conformity.

I don’t believe in “Ligawan” because from the root word of it, “Ligaw” tend to divert someone just to get something. I’d rather be loved with what I am and what I have. I know, it sound so idealistic and stupid but I have my reasons. Be it that way…for the moment.

I just find it so hard to get into something like giving up my music (yeah!!! The Metal Music) and giving up some of my wishes…(getting my long hair back, goatie and some petty things)

And hearing some words from a friend that I should give up some things…Well, I just find it one sided because if you really like the person, you would accept him for what he is.

excited for iPhone

After watching Steve Job’s keynote address, I’m very excited to get myself an iPhone (It’ll be on 2008…More time to save for it). It’s really great and I think it’ll stay there for long. (The technology is said to be 5 years ahead of the present Smartphones)

I’m just excited on its design and the thing that you do with your hands...the Multi-Scroll and the resizing and zooming of photos with your thumb and pointing finger.

As Steve Jobs had said, stylus is really “Yuck”.

Apple iPhone

Finally, Apple iPhone is out. Hmmm…I like the way it looks but I was thinking of the Click Wheel. Where is it?

It’s much like a glorified Smartphone. You know, Apple has its way of repackaging things. The things that has been on the market and modifying it for the better. (Yeah!!! You can call, text, watch videos, play music, watch pictures, browse the internet)

Very much like MacOS X fans saying that Microsoft Vista is a clone of theirs.

Its touch screen all the time as Steve Jobs said “Yuck” for stylus.(How about finger grease?) No 3G too. Hmmm... Let’s just see.

Sorry, Asia might have to wait until next year as finally U.S. got it first.

Nice job Pres. GMA

I just hate the thing that the Philippine Government has been doing on Daniel Smith’s case. He was transferred from Philippine custody to the Americans.

Well, it seems that the Arroyo Administration is too good to Uncle Sam since the President favored the “release” of the American soldier in favor of the Americans. That it would be good for Philippine-American relations in the future.

So, if that would be the case, maybe President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo should be fucked-up first and the rest of the Filipino women. That would be great for Philippine-American relations.

Nice job President.

Let's drink for Norwynn

Another great way to get into the next chapter in one’s life is to drink.

Norwynn will be moving to his new turf so, we, as his friends had spent our Saturday evening with him with so much booze.

Our bestfriend...the bong, some Absinthe and our guardian angel, San Miguel

Yup!!! We enjoyed the night as we tried not to get emotional over his last hurrah. Everyone was laughing like there’s no tomorrow. I know, this would be one thing we’ll surely miss… the booze, the stories and all the things that goes with it.

*sigh. Anyway, it was all good. We’ll miss you Norwynn.

Saturday, January 06, 2007

I just can’t remember some things for the past 12 hours. I drank my way to the point I puked at Rica’s home, at the taxi and at our gate. It’s a shame to have done those things. I just have to talk to Rica about it. (Man, I’m still trying to remember. Have I done something?)

*sigh…Shame on me…Next time, no more Tequila. My head aches.

Ear bleed for Lamb of god and Mastodon

At last, I got all the albums of Lamb of god and Mastodon.

I’ve listened to Lamb of god’s Sacrament for 2 days now and I feel so mad. Yeah!!! This band knows how to put shit on anybody. Just right for my bullshitting days…

And with Mastodon, I just have to listen to it by album as every album goes with a concept. Leviathan revolves around the band’s love on Herman Melville's Moby Dick and Blood Mountain goes on a theme of embarking on a trek to reach the top of the mountain, with all the trials and tribulations that are endured in the process.

I’m loving it.

...lamb of god

I finally got my copy of lamb of god’s album, Sacrament.

Well, it’s a GREAT Metal album. When I first heard of the first track, I felt like smashing somebody else’s face. Yeah!!! It’s very heavy and I just love the riffs.

lamb of god

Anyway, it’s a nice thing to do work with this band in the background. At this time, I’m getting ready for their other songs right through my iPod. I just have to decide which tunes should be out and which tunes should be in as I only have 100 MB left.

Mastodon is on its way too. I also love this band.

Yeah!!! Metal for 2007.

iPod Reset Play Count for 2007

Whoa!!! 95 Times for In Flames' Take This Life.

It’s 2007 and it’s about time to reset my iPod’s play count.

2006 was the year where I played a lot of In Flames and a lot of Metal Music. Be it during my work, jogging or while commuting. I just love the feel of it and it just kept my sanity intact.

And for 2007, my ears are still for Metal. I know it may sound boring if it’s all that but I’m just happy having these since 1991.

This time, I’m starting with Killswitch Engage’s New Album, As Daylight Dies.

Goodbye 2006. Hello 2007

Few hours to go and it’ll be 2007. Hmmmmm…Seems like yesterday when I got a hold of some of my favorite things and events.

Anyway, here are some of the things that I really like in 2006.

  1. Ultimate Frisbee - It was summer when I was invited and introduced into this sport. Since that day, I got addicted to it and still dreaming of becoming better. It made me lose some fat and gained some friends (Yup!!! Very great friends). I did some crazy stuff I have never imagined and even joined the Manila Spirits International Tournament ’06 with my team, Ultimate STD. This was really fun.
  2. Metal Music – This is the year that I got a lot of Metal Music in my iPod. I started with In Flames then to Children Of Bodom, Arch Enemy, DragonForce, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, Megadeth, Nightwish, Opeth, Shadows Fall, Slayer, Tool…and went back to Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. It was almost an all Metal Music year until I got some mushy feeling with a girl.
  3. Girlfriend – Yup! I got myself a girlfriend for 6 months and 2 days. It was great until her mother dropped the ax. *sigh…Too bad, her mother doesn’t like me.
  4. Hype Magazine – First, we were featured…the next thing, I’m part of it. Who would have thought I could be there…It was all great. The best part of it? I got wonderful friends.
  5. Bye Bye Braces – Finally! After 2 years and 9 months, my mouth is finally free. No more geeky brackets.
  6. Movies – Yeah!!! Movie houses have been my place of filling in some void. It could be with my Frisbee friends who just laugh like we own the place (Usually after pick-up games where we still sport in our Frisbee attire and smell like the cows who just had a party on the green fields of New Zealand)…or with my ex when everyone’s not available or with myself when I’m available. Hehe
  7. Freebies – Hmmm…I got myself an Altec Lansing Speakers for my DVD player, DVD media discs from my orthodontist, A Samsonite Laptop Bag, 17” Samsung CRT Monitor, Canon Pixma MP150 Printer, Free Pass to some events, iPod Shuffle with Blue Silicone Jacket, my first Frisbee Disc (The red Boracay ’06), Goodies from event sponsors (shirt, caps and all the booze), Round trip plane ticket for Manila Spirits International Tournament ’06.

I may have my share of shit of this world but it was a wonderful year. I’m so thankful to our Lord for all of these. He’s always good to me and to my family and I hope, in His Grace and Mercy, I could have a great life ahead of me.

Happy New Year and God bless us all.
