Beatallica

Heard of Beatallica before and I was searching for it (Its a band, much like of Metallica but plays Beatles songs). I've read their stories and began to search for some mp3s online. Too bad, Sony had slapped them with lawsuit.

But the thing is, their back online. I'm also glad to have some tunes already on my drive. :)

Anyway, here are some links.
1. Beatallica
2. MetalFilter Music : Beatallica

:)

Audiobooks and music

Finally, I got some audiobooks to burn some time.

Here's my list.
1. Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer
2. Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn
3. Dan Brown's The DaVinci Code

Its really nice especially Mark Twain's. I got a hold of it when the lights went out early in the morning. Its nice to hear the adventures of Tom Sawyer. Maybe later, I'll get to have Huckleberry Finn.

You can also get those copies at audiobooksforfree.com

If you got yourself an iPod, its better to listen to them in audiobook format (*.m4b). You can have bookmarks on it...just like the old school book.

To have it converted, you just have to have iTunes. Convert them to AAC by importing them to your library. After converting them, rename the converted files from *.m4a to *.m4b. Update your iPod and enjoy. Be sure to have the latest iTunes software because audiobooks will be treated as music instead of an audiobook. :)

iPod crime

Here's a link to the story. :)

The Bad Boys are back

I woke up early this day. It was about 8 am this morning that I got a call from Jake. He requested me to do some tweaking on his new laptop. His thing is cool. How I wish I could have a laptop soon. :)

Its ironic, me, being a lab rat, couldn't even get some things for my work. And Jake, who is in the medical field, got to have the thing that should be for us. Anyway, that’s what life really is. Rusty!!!

After some time of getting those morning stars, I decided to change my playlist for the day. I thought of bringing back the bad boys of rock.

Well, here’s my list.

1. AC/DC – Back In Black
2. Metallica – Kill ‘em All
3. Metallica – Master Of Puppets
4. Megadeth – Rust In Peace
5. Nine In Nails – Pretty Hate Machine
6. Guns ‘N Roses – Appetite For Destruction
7. Tool – Aenima
8. Alice In Chains – Alice In Chains
9. Drowning Pool – Desensitize
10. Godsmack – The Other Side

And also, I was able to have some “Protected” wma files in my PC. I got it from Mac2x who is a Rhapsody subscriber in the U.S.. He got his wma music protected and I can’t even play them on my iPod.

The good this is, I was able to convert them to mp3. bwhahahaha.

Here’s what to do.

You need to have
1. Nero 6.XXX with WMA Plugin
2. ImageDrive Should be installed (Included in Nero)
3. Windows Media Player 10 or any Ripper

What to do
1. Set Nero to Image Recorder as your destination in writing the wma to audio cd.
2. Burn those wma files as audio cd. This would create a CD Image of the audio cd.
3. Restore the image made and rip it to your preferred settings.
4. Bwhahahahaha for Microsoft. Bwhahahaha.

Another day

While I was looking for free audiobooks, I noticed my play count on my iPod to be somewhat weird. For the past 3 days, I was listening to Nine Inch Nails' The Hand That Feeds for 79 times.

I was hooked with it and I think it would take some time for me to have that "Song Fatigue".

Here's a link of the music video and its needs Quicktime for you to have it.

Anyway, I'll find some time to listen to The DaVinci Code. It would take me 6 hours+ on a normal speed.

And also, I begin to notice some kids wearing those white earphones. Its nice to see the phenom (iPod)

iPod, Bono and Bill Gates

I’ve read an article somewhere on the net where Bono of U2, who is a friend of Bill Gates, stayed at the richest man’s home for the weekend concert in Seattle.

The two are friends who shares passion for Third World development and relief efforts.

Bill Gates knew Bono through his philanthrophy work.

The two hung out together after the concert.

When Gates was asked if his friendship with Bono will entice him to buy the U2 Special Edition iPod, he said, “Absolutely Not”. :)
